Monday, May 10

Saturday was another great day for junior sprinter Natalie Pearson. Natalie qualified for the NCAA East Regional in the 100 by running a qualifying time of 11.74 at the Orange and Purple Classic that was held at Clemson University.

Pearson has enjoyed an excellent sprint career and will most likely end her career as the fastest Bulldog to ever run at UNC Asheville. However, there’s something special about qualifying for a regional. Natalie has had to battle injuries over the past year but no one has worked harder than her to get well and improve. She came so close to qualifying at the Big South meet and then got the job done on Saturday.

So Bulldog athletics will extend to the end of the month when Natalie competes in the NCAA Regional at North Carolina A&T on May 29-30. Congratulations!!!
